"Mom Moments"

Just about everyday something happens that makes me thank God that I am a mom. I wanted to share a few of my 'mom moments' that make me delight in the journey.

"Mom Moments"

Accepting a ketchup kiss from Cooper.

Cooper put his arms around me yawned. So I asked him, "Are you a little tired?"
He said, "No, I'm a BIG tired"

Allie squeels with delight when we go to Walmart and stop to look at the fish in the tanks.

It is amazing how dad's ears are deaf to crying at "wee" hours of the night. Now I am territorial about fixing things at the "wee" hours.

When I hear little voices singing or talking to themselves very contently in their bed in the morning, I just smile.

Every night when I pray with Cooper the one thing he always says is -
"Thank you God for church" (I just love that!)

When my house is a mess I love to remind myself that the trip to the park or the zoo was really more important than the floors.

"Mom, Allie's a mess!" is something else I hear a lot too!

I love that motorcycles, tracktors, and big fire trucks make a 2yr. olds day so exciting.

It is such a treat that Lee gets up with the kids in the mornings.

I love to hear Cooper say, "Good talking, Allie!"

Putting dresses on a little girl is something I truely cherish.

I never knew a 2 yr. old could have such foul B.O. (body odor) when just 12 hours before he smelled like lavender body wash.

How sweet is it that Allie's favorite toy is the bunny who says the prayer,
"Now I lay me down to sleep..."

I groan and then laugh perplexed at how I manage to wash a disposable diaper in the washing machine and the dryer about once a month.

Finally, I get to potty train my own kid!!! (after years of potty training autistic kids)
Yeah - I'm weird to be thrilled about potty training.

When I meet someone who doen't know Lee and they comment,
"Your kids look just like you"!

Thank You God for giving me the opportunity to be Copper and Allie's mom.
