We are new to Texas but love this leg of our journey. Grateful for God's hand of guidance in each step we take together as a family. This blog is a quick way for me to remember these tender years we are walking through ... Enjoy reading what we're up to!
I grew up in a small central coast town in California. I met Lee in the choir in college. We will have been married 13 years in August. I have an ABA consulting business for children with autism. My days are spent kicking up my heels with Cooper and Allie (my preschoolers). Each day I pray that God will use me as his instrument to play the song he has chosen.
Lee - The Daddy
Lee grew up in Bakersfield, then was in the Navy for 4 years on an aircraft carrier. After the Navy he met me at Cuesta College. A few years later a career moved us to Louisiana. Cooper and Allie came along after Hurricane Katrina and then 3 years later a move to Katy, Tx. Lee is a driller on an offshore oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico. He enjoys boating in his bayliner and doing home improvement projects. He is an amazing husband whose gift is that of service and the kids love playing outside with Daddy ... be it biking, boating, swimming, parkn' it, etc...
Cooper - the brother
Cooper Bio
Cooper is thrilled to finally be 5! He loves to do all those boy things; hang out with daddy doing projects, ride his bike and of course get dirty! Now that Cooper is the big brother to a larger Carlson Crew he is developing new skills. He has a heart that just melts this mama in their long spiritual conversations. Cooper is an avid "Star Wars/Clone Wars" fan! He also loves to draw! We are all anxiously awaiting Kindergarden in the fall.
Allie - the sister
Allie Bio
Allie-cat is our treasured little girl! Now that she is 4 life is a joy! A wonderful helper and mom's little shadow. Since the little brothers have come along Allie has a new outlook and place in our family. What a God-send!!! Cooper is still her favorite friend and she will play anything as long as she is by his side. The only princess she cares about is Princess Leah, Chewy is almost just as popular in her book! Allie keeps us laughing with her knock knock and "why did the chicken cross the road" jokes that just don't make sense. We often ask ourselves, "has God wired her to develop our creative parenting techniques???"
Tucker
Meet Tucker a recent addition to the Carlson Crew! He is quite the snuggle-bug, and loves to be held all the time! He is a master at surprise fountain performances during diaper changes! His biggest fan is Cooper, his big brother. Stay tuned for updates as to how our addition to the crew develops!

Cody - peanut
Cody, our second addition is our little peanut, what a gentlemen! He moves and grooves to a slower pace but we love that about him just the same. He has gotten to take home a few bells and whistles from the hospital (oxygen tanks, apnea machine etc...). When we go out he's the one who draws attention with questions! We are blessed to share God's goodness through Cody. Such a sweet little boy! Please be praying that his lungs grow and heal so we can be off of those tubes soon! Check in for updates about Cody K. !
